Today we would like to introduce a sword with Jigenryu specifications in the original Koshirae.
The handle is 30.5 cm long and is tightly wrapped in brown deerskin leather.

本日はうぶの拵に入った示現流仕様の刀のご紹介です。
柄の長さは30.5センチと長く、茶色の鹿革で強固に巻かれています。
刀身の出来も観賞用としてお楽しみいただける出来口です。
特筆すべき鍛錬疵無い出来良い一刀

元先の幅差開いて切先延び、身幅広く豪壮な体配。地鉄は無地。刃文は匂口明るく冴えた湾れに互ノ目を交え、鋩子は表裏共に直ぐに焼きたっぷりと小丸に返る。
附属の拵は柄にガタツキ無く、柄の脱着に手間をとられる程しっかりとしている。縁頭は竹図。柄巻は黒牛表革巻き。鐔は耳の部分に数多の切込み傷が残っており、幕末の騒乱期に実際に使用された様子が窺える、歴史浪漫溢れる作品が添えられています。
鞘を払って構えてみると、手元重心でバランスが良く、実際の重さよりも軽く感じられます。
裸身重量974グラム。 拵に納めて鞘を払った重量1,349グラム。
